The food is excillent, my go to is always the pernil over yellow rice. Also can't forget the papas rellenas and the empanadas. Try it you won't be disappointed. Pair the great food with the wild selection of drinks that you have never seen before and it's a home run lunch at a great price. It's always my lunch if I'm in Albany around noon.

What a find! A great selection of meat with an owner/chef that gave me great suggestions on how to cook Puerto Rican pernil for Christmas. They had all the ingredients for sofrito too. I will be back for lunch take out of real Latino food - pernil, pasteles! Felt good to support a local merchant bringing quality food to the area.

It is rare to find a New York City style Bodega complete with typical Latin dishes on display for purchase. You can get three sizes (5.50, 7.50, 10.50) for one protein, rice, beans. The sides can be added on for .50 to a main dish. They also have cuchifritos. They sell frozen pastels too which are pretty good. The store carries everything you can want from Latin America and the Caribbean including fresh fruits and Vegetables. This store is the same as Frankie and Giovanni just a new name. The hot food comes out at 11:30 weekdays.
